Baku - APA. An act has been signed on preparation for commissioning of Baku Olympic Stadium, which started to be constructed in December, 2012 and relevant executive authority has allowed commissioning of the stadium.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports told APA that the ministry handed over the facility from the contractor.
The client of the of Baku Olympic Stadium is the Ministry of Youth and Sports, General contractor is the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Subcontractor is Tekfen Construction and Installation Co., Inc. (TÄ°TAÅž). The stadium was constructed on time under the schedule. The facility was inspected by relevant organizations and proper conclusions were provided on its construction according to norms and rules of construction and the project documents. Upon completion of paperwork, commissioning of the stadium was allowed by relevant executive authority. Opening and ceremonies of the First European Games, which will take place for the first time on June 12-28, 2015 in Baku, will be held in this stadium.
