Baku – APA. The State Committee for Work with Religious Associations of Azerbaijan has today held a meeting.
The Committee told APA that Chairman of the State Committee as well as heads of regional branches attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman of the State Committee Mubariz Gurbanli said that the series of events are necessary to be continued in order to raise the awareness.
The Chairman of the State Committee said that the measures taken by the committee to prevent the spread of radical ideas are bearing fruit. Constantly, great works are being done in all cities and districts of the republic to promote our national-moral and religious values as well as the traditions of tolerance of Azerbaijan.
Monthly reports of the heads of regional branches were read out, the issues regarding the involvement of the religious communities in social projects in order to stimulate their activities, creation of new communities, registration of mosques and communities were discussed at the meeting.
