Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense Industry will fully meet all ammunitions needs of the Armed Forces by domestic production, Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov told APA.
According to him, a plant to produce tank and artillery shells is planned to be opened in Azerbaijan in the next months. At the same time, 30-mm bullets, 4 types of ammunitions for RPQ-7 grenade launcher will be produced this year.
“Thus, the need for ammunitions of small arms and artillery will be fully met. Dependence on abroad in this regard will be reduced to minimum”, Jamalov said.
The Minister also mentioned that there is a need for ammunitions produced in Azerbaijan from abroad.
