Lawyer Nemet Kerimli told APA that Taleh Khasmammadov was sentenced to 3-month pre-trial detention on February 26.

Taleh Khasmammadov was detained on February 24. Interior Ministry issued a statement on the detention of Khasmammadov on the same day.

Interior Ministry's Deputy Spokesman Ehsan Zahidov said in response to APA’s question that Goychay resident Taleh Khasmammadov was detained due to illegal acts: “Today at about 13:50, police officers saw a man beating another man on the ground. The police intervened immediately. It was revealed that Zahir dropped remarks on Taleh Khasmammadov as he parked his car improperly. They quarreled and Taleh Khasmammadov injured Zahir. Both of them were detained. Investigation Department of the District Police Office has launched an investigation on the appeal of Zahir.”

Goychay District Court sentenced Khasmammadov to 4-year imprisonment on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting police in 2011.
