Moscow hosts press conference on Baku-2015 first European Games - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov has held a press conference dedicated to the Baku-2015 first European Games in Moscow. The minister noted that more than 6 million sportsmen and women as well as over 3,000 members of delegations are expected to participate in the European Games, APA’s Moscow correspondent reported.
A. Rahimov said the Games will include 20 types of sports: “16 of them are Olympic types of sports. The organizing committee, which consists of 1,300 personnel, is led by Azerbaijan’s first lady, Mehriban Aliyeva. Highly professional specialists who gained experience in Sochi, Vancouver, Athens and London have been invited to the committee”.
Later on, a video clip showing Baku’s preparation for the first European Games was displayed at the conference.
A. Rahimov noted that the sports facilities under construction to host the European Games will be ready by late February and mid-March: “The Olympic village created for sportspersons is at the highest level of security. The registration of journalists is now underway. A media village has been created for journalists”.
The minister also added that an Azerbaijan Week will be held during the All-Russian Achievements of the National Economy exhibition and that the presentation of the Baku-2015 first European Games will also take place as part of the week. He said the presentation will be held in April: “To date, the presentation was held in Istanbul, Berlin, Paris, etc. This time we plan to hold the presentation in Rome, Budapest, London and Moscow”.
