Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) announced its plans for parliamentary elections to be held in the country this year, APA reports.
Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Deputy Chief of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), executive secretary Ali Ahmedov said that as a tradition, YAP had started its preparations for the elections long before.
He said that the party is seriously preparing for the elections: “We seriously approach to a number of issues during the preparation process, including selection of the party’s candidates. Candidates will be selected on the basis of a serious study. The party and voters are satisfied with the activities of most MPs from the ruling party in the Parliament. Such persons would also be taken into account. However, life is improving. YAP’s position is that it nominates persons who won the hearts of voters. We will prepare for the election campaign on these criteria. I think that this election will be also successful for New Azerbaijan Party,” he said.
