Prosecutor demands 15-year imprisonment for persons accused of collaborating with Iranian intelligence agencies

The public prosecutor delivered a speech at the hearing presided over by judge Eldar Ismayilov and demanded 15-year imprisonment for each of the accused persons.

The next hearing was scheduled for February 5.

According to the bill of indictment, they are accused of collaborating with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (SEPAH). They face charges under article # 274 (treason) of the Criminal Code. Faig Gurbanov collaborated with Bilal – employee of SEPAH in 2013. That person instructed Gurbanov to obtain confidential information about Azerbaijan.

Seymur Rzazade collaborated with Gaffari – an employee of SEPAH.

The were arrested as a result of the operation conducted by the Ministry of National Security.
