Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Armenians have presented military exercises held within “Union-2014” as an operation held in Karabakh. At the same time, they brought S-300 anti-aircraft missile battery to Karabakh.

According to researches conducted by APA, several exercises photos released on the press and social networks have been held in Armenian polygons, but not in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories. By this falsification, Armenians intended to eliminate depression in Karabakh population and have psychological impact on Azerbaijani side.

At the same time, it’s doubtless that these footages are montage and have been made by Photoshop.

After shooting Armenia’s Mi-24 helicopter over Aghdam region, Armenians released photos which reflect shoot from 9K33 OSA (SA-8 Gecko) Antiaircraft missile system in the exercises in Karabakh. Though they say the shootings were in Karabakh, but they did not show concrete area.

The videos released by Armenian on the next day of exercises showed that the shooting was carried out in Armenia’s Gegarkunik province, on the bank of lake Goyche.

According to military sources, no rocket launching has been recorded in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories. Armenians’ Osa and 2K11 Krug (SA-4 Ganef) anti-aircraft rocket system only came to the area.

The footages also include deployment of S-300 anti-aircraft missile battery in Azerbaijan’s territories (near Khankendi). According to servicemen, Armenians did not have S-300 system in Karabakh. There is only a post for deployment near Khankendi during combat operations. It’s supposed that S-300s have been brought from Gorus region of Armenia for demonstration of support to Karabakh Armenians and the photos have been taken there.

Moreover, the automatic 82 mm gun-mortar 2B9 Vasilek (Cornflower) used by separatists in Karabakh also drew attention. There have been no footages reflecting usage of Vasilek gun-mortar in the exercises of previous years. The servicemen of 1992-94 told APA that Armenians used these gun-mortars only twice. These gun-mortars have been captured by the soldiers of Azerbaijan’s Internal Troops near Orta Guneytepe village of Aghdam region and Armed Forces near Childiran height. It’s possible to suppose that the gun-mortars in the last exercises have been included in the inventory of military units in Karabakh as a training equipment.
