The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has included the names of two members of the Azerbaijani diaspora – businessmen Jahangir Aliyev and Ikram Adilov – into its list and declared search, said an official responsive letter sent by the ICRC office in Kiev to the embassy, first secretary for consular affairs of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine Asim Osmanov told APA.

The letter mentions that the ICRC has listed the missing members of the Azerbaijani diaspora and that all necessary measures will be taken to find them in the provinces of Luhansk and Donetsk where the fights are going on.

Note that, both persons went to Krasnodon, a Ukrainian city at the border with Russia, on business on July 30. Since then, they have not been heard from as the area was heavily bombed. Both hold Ukrainian citizenship. Jahangir Aliyev, 1964, is from Azerbaijan’s Astara District and Ikram Adilov, 1974, is from Terter Distrcit. The Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine applied to the ICRC and Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry about them in late October.

Osmanov also said medical examination has already given the final opinion on the body of Azad Valiyev, former Azerbaijani deputy for Luhansk who had lost some time ago and was found dead later on. His body has been sent to Azerbaijan to be buried.
