Azerbaijani Naval Forces, Air Forces complete joint large-scale operational-tactical exercises

In the first phase of the exercises, the forces and vehicles of the Naval Forces were firstly put on full combat readiness, deployed in areas, in where naval groups, units and formations gather, and then successfully completed the task to ensure safety and protection of the main base point.

In the second phase, the planning of operations on the Air forces, the Coast Guard of the State Border Service, security and protection of the maritime borders and facilities of the oil and gas infrastructure in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea in interaction with the Ministry of Emergency Situations was carried out at the headquarters of the Naval Forces. The combat tasks for the ships, units and subunits of the Naval Forces were completed.

In the third phase, combat training tasks on destroying enemy ships and terror-sabotage groups with the support of Air Force fighter jets and helicopters were executed. All kinds of forces and equipments involved in the exercises carried out shootings. During the active phase, the servicemen executed the tasks of destroying a base captured by terrorists, saving a ship and its crew, monitoring a pipeline, saving an oil platform seized by terrorists, destroying enemy ships entering the operational zone of the Caspian Sea.
