During the meeting Mubariz Gurbanli said that Azerbaijani citizens are able to make maximum use of the opportunities provided by the Law on Freedom of Religious Belief, the state committee’s press service told APA.
“Religious stability in Azerbaijan’s socio-political life stands out as compared to those in other countries. All religious confessions share equal opportunities. Today, Azerbaijan is an example of tolerance in the world”, he added.
Rabbi Shmuel Simantov expressed his satisfaction with the care provided to the Jewish people and the high level of religion-state relations in Azerbaijan, noting that Jews has always enjoyed good treatment in Azerbaijan.
“As a Jewish community, we’re always with the Azerbaijani people and Azerbaijani state”, said the guest.
