‘Save Azerbaijani hostages’ campaign launched in 5 languages on social networks for release of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev
# 22 October 2014 15:42 (UTC +04:00)

The virtual campaign demands the unconditional release of Azerbaijani civilians Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev who were illegally detained by the Armenian Armed Forces in Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia for moving from one place to another in their own country within the borders recognized by the world and the United Nations.

The campaign asks international human rights organizations why they do not comment on the Azerbaijanis taken hostages by the Armenians in Kalbajar, urge Armenia to release them and make any efforts in this respect.

The passive activity of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the release of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev and its statements justifying the intention of the separatist regime to hold an illegal “trial” of the hostages in Khankendi on October 27 are sharply criticized.

The ICRC and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are demanded to act and make statements in accordance with their mandates.

The “Save Azerbaijani hostages” campaign, widely discussed by Armenian social network users, is aimed at supporting the intense action carried out by the Azerbaijani state to release Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev.

Subscribers to the virtual campaign wrote “This campaign is intended to concern every international organization which is supposed to be concerned about the fate of the Azerbaijani hostages”, calling social network users not to keep silent over this issue.
