Azerbaijani Deputy FM to attend 100th Plenary Session of Venice Commission

Baku. Anakhanum Idoyatova – APA. The European Commission for Democracy through Law, better known as the Venice Commission, will hold its 100th Plenary Session on October 10-11 in Rome, posted on the official website of the European Parliament, APA reports.

The session will be chaired by Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Benedetto Della Vedova. At the session, Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev will represent Azerbaijan that is chairing the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

The session will also be attended by Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Christopher Chope on behalf of the President of the Parliamentary Assembly and President of the European Court of Human Rights Dean Spielmann.

President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Ranko Krivokapic is expected to open the session.
