Baku-APA. The Syrian air force raided a rebel position near a border crossing between Syria and Lebanon on Monday, killing 10 and injuring 15 others, according to the pan- Arab al-Mayadeen TV, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The airstrike targeted a position of the armed militant groups at the al-Zamarani border crossing, said the report, spelling no further details.

The Syrian troops have repeatedly engaged with militants who were sneaking in and out of Syria through neighboring Lebanon.

In recent months the Syrian army succeeded to recapture several towns in the rugged al-Qalamoun region, located north of the capital Damascus and on the borders with Lebanon, depriving thus the armed militants of main supply lines that had been used by the rebels to smuggle arms and fighters into the Syrian war.

The state news agency SANA said that also on Monday 11 militants were killed when the Syrian troops destroyed a factory for manufacturing explosive devices and improvised rockets in the town of Sarkeh in the countryside of the northwestern province of Idlib.

The state news agency said the Syrian government troops killed tens of other "terrorist" in the central province of Hama, Idlib and the northern countryside of the coastal city of Latakia.

Battles between the Syrian troops and an array of armed militant groups have been ongoing in several Syrian cities as part of the ongoing conflict that has killed over 190,000 people and displaced millions of others over the span of the almost four-year- old crisis.
