Azerbaijan to expand range of local-produced sniper rifles

4 sniper rifles, designed by local engineers and produced in local establishments, were displayed in ADEX-2014 held in Baku last week, adviser of the Defense Industry Minister Azad Mammadov told APA.

“Two out of these sniper rifles – 14.5 mm caliber “Istiglal” and 12.7 mm caliber

“Mubariz” have anti-material properties”, he said.

Mammadov said the other two weapons are “Yalguzag” sniper, exhibited for the first time in late 2012, and “Yirtici” sniper rifle, exhibited for the first time in ADEX-2014.
