Gabriella Battaini Dragoni noted that the White Paper highlights the importance of governments creating conditions for a dialogue among religious communities: ‘An untrue rhetoric over religious minorities in Europe can also be seen in today’s media. Hatred and intolerance threaten democratic stability. We cannot force society to become more tolerant. We just need to create laws and requirements for society to comply with this framework. Civil society organizations must be able to contribute to social order as well”.

He added that the existing discrimination in Europe against Muslims should be discussed, too: “Relations between culture and religion have to be built on a basis that no one would commit violence or discrimination”.
