The statement says that resident of Absheron district’s Jeyranbatan settlement Seymur Haziyev committed deliberate actions near the bus stop in the entrance of the settlement at about 12:30 on August 29 by violating the public order, disrespecting for the public and applying subjects used as a weapon. As there are grounds for suspicions that he previously abused Baku resident Maharram Hasanov without any reason who is unfamiliar to him, and hit him with bottle, punched and kicked him on his face, a criminal case was launched on the fact in the Investigation Department of Absheron District Police Department under the Article #221.3 (The hooliganism committed with application of a weapon or subjects, used as the weapon) of the Criminal Code.
Forensic medical examination was appointed on the case, witnesses were questioned and other procedures were carried out. The court passed a decision on arrest of Seymur Haziyev as an accused person under the above mentioned Article of the Criminal Code.
Investigation is underway on the case.
Haziyev is a member of presidium of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party.
