Baku. Zumrud Pashayeva – APA. Tehran has stated that it stands ready to join global campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq providing that the West suspends sanctions against Iran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made this statement as a response to his French counterpart, APA reports quoting IRNA.
“If we agree on doing some things in Iraq, there have to be changes in discussions, and all the sanctions against Iran’s nuclear program have to be suspended”, stressed the Iranian official.
Note that, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius had urged countries of the region as well as Iran to be united against Islamic State (formerly known as ISIS) forces.
