Baku. Etibar Mammadov – APA. Musavat Party Youth Organization has held a press conference on the detention of its member Faraj Karimli.
Musavat leader Isa Gambar said that F. Karimli was arrested for his political activity in the social networks, APA reports. According to him, Karimli’s arrest is a pressure against Musavat party.
Gambar said that the committee on protection of Karimli’s rights has already been established.
Karimli’s lawyer Nemat Karimli noted that there is no information about where Karimli is being detained: “We only know that Karimli was detained by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. I think the claims against him are absurd”.
Chairman of Musavat YO Ahliman Abbas said that certain measures will be taken for Karimli’s liberation and they will appeal to the international organizations in this regard.
Karimli’s father Rafig Karimli noted he does not agree with the charges against his son and his son is not a drug user.
Karimli was detained in the morning yesterday by the persons in civilian clothes on the way to Baku Health Center for his mother examination. Ministry spokesman Orkhan Mansurzadeh told that drug has been taken from him during the search. Mansurzadeh also noted hat he is engaged in advertising psychotropic substances on social networks.
