APA reports that the delegation led by Abdulla ibn Muhammad An-Nasir includes 8 parliamentarians.

Pashazade said that Saudi Arabia always fulfills its promise after Azerbaijan gained its independence and supports us regarding Armenia’s aggressive policy against Azerbaijan and occupation of Karabakh.

The CMB Chairman said that Armenia repeatedly attempted to establish relations with Saudi Arabia and open embassies. However, Saudi Arabia as promised continues its brotherhood. Therefore he expressed gratitude on behalf of the Azerbaijani people. Pashazade said that relations between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia are constantly developing and the embassies of the two countries have special roles in these issues.

Head of the delegation Abdulla ibn Muhammad An-Nasir, in his turn, said that Heydar Aliyev and the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia had great services in establishment of relations between the two countries.

He noted that there is no coercion in Islam; tyranny is a sign of blasphemy. “Although we live in different states, we are parts of the Islamic nation and our people are friends. The Azerbaijani people have made valuable contributions to the Islamic culture and civilization. The Islamic religion has always been tolerant and those who doubt it can look back through the history of Islam”, he said.

“The forces who don’t want the Islamic nation are trying to break up the Muslim World. However, humanity of the Islamic religion makes it the religion of the world”, Abdulla ibn Muhammad An-Nasir stressed.

He said that Saudi Arabia's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is obvious and it supports Azerbaijan’s position in this matter. “My country always supports peace”, he noted.
