Azerbaijani religious figures to wear single service dresses

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. “Spiritual enlightenment is not in the level that the Caucasian Muslims Board (CMB) wants it to be”, said Vasim Memmedeliyev, the dean of the Theology Faculty of Baku State University, at the conference dedicated to the opening of the extension course for religious figures organized CMB.

He said that within a month, the issue of single service dresses for religious figures will be solved, too: “Earlier, the leadership instructed to resolve the issue of service dress. This issue was eventually solved after Kamal Abdulla was appointed as state councillor”.

V.Memmedeliyev also touched on the issue of recognition of diplomas of Islamic University: “Islamic University has already been given a status, why are the diplomas of this university not recognized? This issue needs a solution, too”.

V.Memmedeliyev said the society is taught by religious figures about the martyrdom status, then no one would go to Syria: “Martyrs are those who sacrifice their souls for homeland, honor, and religion. Those who fight for money can not be called martyr. Why are we interfering in the affairs of another country? If you think you’re a hero, fight as a partisan in Karabakh, why are you going to Syria?”
