Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The Republican Military Prosecutor’s Office commented on inspections and arrests at Naval Forces. Press service of the Prosecutor’s Office told APA that the Military Prosecutor’s Office carried out inspections at the Naval Forces some times ago and revealed irregularities. Military Prosecutor’s Office has launched a criminal case on the facts and some persons accused of took illegal actions, as well as former naval commander, vice-admiral Shahin Sultanov have been sentenced to pre-trial detention under he decision of Baku Military Court.
Sultanov charged with the Criminal Code’s article # 313 (service forgery) and 179.3.2 (assignment or waste - in large size).
Investigation is underway.
