Deputy Minister of Communication and High Technologies Elmir Valizadeh told journalists that these attacks increase year-on-year.
According to him, Azerbaijan also takes measures to prevent these attacks: “Azerbaijan established a special state agency to protect the state network. At the same time, there is an E-Security Center under our Ministry to provice internet security of society, business organizations and individuals”.
Regarding cyberattacks mainly from which countries, the Deputy Minister noted that the geography is enlarging. According to him, Azerbaijan faces cyberattacks from the countries which have wide-spread internet or any IP addresses of those countries: “These countries may include the countries such as the US, Russia and China as they have wide-spread internet. Azerbaijan also faces periodic cyberattacks from Armenia. However, all these are on the focus”.
