Baku. Gulnar Bashirova – APA. “All sports associations in the country, people and organizations engaged in sports are doing their best for Baku 2015 First European Games,” Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov told journalists, APA reports.
The minister said Azerbaijan would be fully ready to host the games: “We are preparing for Baku First European Games, the most grandiose event of 2015. We believe that we will be fully ready to hold this event next year and we are sure that the most beautiful and grandiose games will be held in Baku.”
As for the organization of Formula One Grand Prix in Azerbaijan, the minister noted that the relevant talks have been held for more than six months: “I think it is the last stage. It will be announced after the signature. We plan to host the Grand Prix in 2016.”
February 5 is celebrated as the day of physical education and sports in Azerbaijan. Minister Azad Rahimov and the staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports visited the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyrs.
