Baku – APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Afghan Foreign Minister Zarar Ahmad Moqbel Osmani within the 21st meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Foreign Ministers in Tehran.
Foreign Ministry’s press service told APA that the Ministers expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations.
Mammadyarov said that there is a great potential for expanding cooperation between the two countries in many spheres and gave information about the projects implemented in the region on the initiative of Azerbaijan.
Zarar Ahmad Osmani said that Afghanistan attaches great importance to the cooperation with Azerbaijan and expressed their interest in developing relations in all fields.
Issues of mutual interest and prospects for the development of regional cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
