Azerbaijan and Bulgaria intend to extend economic relations

Baku. Aqshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. A meeting with the Bulgarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Maya Hristova was held at the Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation.

According to AEC, Hristova stressed she intends to build a bridge between Azerbaijani and Bulgarian economies. She said Bulgaria has been participating in the TARCECA with Azerbaijan since 1998. At the same time, both countries cooperate within Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization. Along with this, mentioning that significant documents covering economic spheres have been signed in 2009, the ambassador spoke about exceptional role of cooperation memorandum signed between Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy and Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism.

Underlining successful development of bilateral links between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, Hristova noted that both countries have great potential to extend the economic cooperation in the future. According to him, the economic-commercial links, cooperation between the business are not at the desired level.

Noting that nearly 500,000 businessmen operate in Azerbaijan, AEC President Mammad Musayev said that nearly 70 associations are members of AEC. He noted they are ready to cooperate with Bulgarian businessmen.

Musayev added that useful business environment has been created in Azerbaijan and he invited Bulgarian businessmen to cooperation and joint operation.
