Baku – APA. The European Union will make the final decision on signing association agreement with Ukraine on November 18, head of the EU departments of "Eastern Partnership" countries and European External Action Service Dirk Schuebel said, APA reports quoting the Ukrainian media. Schuebel said that the EU would reject to sign an association agreement with Ukraine at the Eastern Partnership summit Vilnius on November 28-29, if ex-prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko is not released.

The EU leading countries also announced that they wouldn’t sign association agreement with Ukraine if the issue of Tymoshenko isn’t resolved. French Ambassador to the Ukraine Alain Remy said that if Tymoshenko is not released the agreement wouldn’t be signed.

Former President of Poland Aleksander KwaÅ›niewski said the EU had offered Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych "partial amnesty" for Yulia Tymoshenko: “We sent a letter to the President of Ukraine in this regard. It seems that this is the most realistic approach and the remaining term makes it available. 42 days left till the summit.”

KwaÅ›niewski also explained the essence of partial amnesty. Tymoshenko’s 7-year prison sentence was reduced to 2 years: “As she served this sentence, she can be released.”
