Azerbaijan-Turkey large-scale military exercises start near Baku - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

Baku-APA. The opening ceremony of Azerbaijan-Turkey joint exercises has been held at Garaheybet Training Center of Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Defense Ministry’s press service told APA.

Addressing the event chief of Main Operation Department of the Armed Forces Major-General Eyvaz Jafarov said Azerbaijan-Turkey relations are developing, the meetings of Azerbaijan-Turkey High-Level Cooperation Council held in Izmir in 2011 and Gabala in 2012 with the participation of the presidents of the two countries are of great importance.

“The first large-scale joint exercise is the result of the decisions passed on the highest level. Holding this joint exercise the sides will fulfill the important tasks put forward by the leadership of the two states,” he said.

Major-General EYvaz Jafarov said these exercises are of great importance in increasing combat capability of our Armed Forces, achieving operation coordination, ensuring security and stability in the region. Azerbaijan-Turkey joint exercises will be held in Azerbaijan and Turkey every year by turns.
