APA reports that in the story called “Ganja, the home of genius Nizami” (ГÑнджа, родина перÑидÑкого Ð³ÐµÐ½Ð¸Ñ Ðизами) and video material posted on the website on June 9, reporter Paul McDowell noted that Persian classic Nizami was born in Ganja city, in the territory of modern Azerbaijan and influenced the creative activity of many other poets and writers.
APA contacted Euronews and noted the error in the introduction of Nizami Ganjavi as a Persian poet. Following this, the TV channel corrected the mistake and the name of the story was changed as “Ganja, the home of poet Nizami”.
