Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The Caucasian Muslims Board (CMB) has warned a group of people, who have been registered for Hajj pilgrimage from Azerbaijan.
The Caucasian Muslims Board told APA that the people, who have not paid all nor half of pilgrimage fees yet have been warned.
CMB said that there are people that have not paid fees on both services. If these persons don’t pay the fees a month before the visit, they will be cut as persons registered beyond the limit. More than 300 people applied for each service.
The registration for Haji pilgrimage in Azerbaijan was started on February 1 and completed last week. The documents were admitted by the Caucasian Muslims Board. The pilgrimage will start on October 2. The limit on both versions of services has already exceeded and more than 300 people applied for each service.
Reducing the number of pilgrims exceeding the limit will depend on the Caucasian Muslims Board. It is reported that some of the registered people will be likely reduced as they have not paid for the service. It is also noted that though the limit was recently increased to 3200 people, later it was lowered again.
Hajj pilgrimage is carried out only by the Caucasian Muslims Board in Azerbaijan. The prices of Hajj pilgrimage is AZN 3250 for the hotel with weak conditions, where meals are served twice a day, AZN 4100 for the hotel with better conditions, where various kinds of meals are served. Hajj pilgrimage will be available only by plane. This year the pilgrims can not travel to Hajj by buses due to the unrests in Syria. The limit of one of the travel packages – AZN 3250 offered to pilgrims has already been filled. The limit of another travel package is expected to be filled in the near future. This year's quota of Hajj pilgrims from Azerbaijan is 1400 people. The Caucasian Muslims Board started the document admission for Hajj in Azerbaijan on February 1. Hajj flights will be carried by France Air company.
