He noted that most of the world's oil and gas reserves are concentrated near the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf. Iran has enough railways, ports, roads and pipelines and this infrastructure can be used by all the littoral states: ‘We are interested in a balanced cooperation with other countries on the conditions of respect for the principles of independence and equality’.
Iranian representative said that one of the main priorities of Tehran is the existence of good relations with the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus: ‘These relations are based on principles of mutual respect’.
According to the director of administration, Iran is sure that the exploitation, production and transportation resources of the Caspian Sea can strengthen cooperation, become a driving force for peace and security: ‘We welcome the clear position and transparency in matters of cooperation’.
