Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received Director General and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Tony Tyler, APA reports. Noting the importance of air transport in intensive development of economy, Tony Tyler stressed the necessity of development of this sphere in the world. He highly estimated the care of Azerbaijan to the development of air transport.
President Ilham Aliyev underlined that Azerbaijan consistently takes care of air transport. Noting the establishment of recent modern airports in the country through state funds and purchase of new airplanes, the Head of State stressed the importance of air transport in expansion of business and tourism potential of the country.
They also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between the International Air Transport Association and CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines and establishing new partnership relations in the sphere of air transport.
