APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations 100 sq m part of plastic facing panel and 1000 sq m part of the roof covering burnt as a result of the fire. 250 residents were evacuated.
The flats were protected from the fire. The fire was extinguished at 22.17.

Sumgayit. Anakhanim Hidayatova, Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a statement on the fire that broke out in the apartment building.
APA reports quoting the website of the ministry that 112 hotline received a call on fire in the five-storey building in Sumgayit.
Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, including the forces of the State Fire Protection Service, Special Risky Rescue Service and Sumgayit Regional Center were immediately sent to the site, the relevant bodies were informed.
According to initial reports, 2000 sq m part of the roof covering of the building burnt.
The fire has been contained, fire exrtinguishing measures are underway.
The ministry will release additional information.

Apartment building is on fire in Sumgayit. APA’s correspondent reports from the site that the fire broke out in the five-storey building in the 4th microdistrict, Sulh street 58/11, Sumgayit. The roads leading to the site have been blocked. Police and firefighters have arrived at the site. One injured person has been hospitalized.
State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA that more than 10 fire engines have arrived at the site. Measures are being continued to contain the fire.
