Addressing the meeting, Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kemaleddin Heydarov said the national leader's quick and sagacious reaction to various emergency situations, support for citizens facing difficulties demonstrated the importance attached by him to the safe life and activity of the people. Honorary titles, orders and medals, higher military and special ranks conferred on the distinguished employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations showed the special attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that expedient measures were taken to optimize the structure, strengthen the technical provision and personnel potential of the ministry.
Kemaleddin Heydarov underlined that establishment and enhancement of the relations with the international and regional organizations, relevant government agencies of foreign countries were continued, a number of agreements were signed.
"According to the President’s instructions, humanitarian aids were sent to the regions and people affected by natural disasters in Krasnodar krai and Derbent city of the Dagestan Republic and quake in Iran," he said.
The minister also noted that the appeals were received about illegal actions of some ministry’s employees, including negative cases in their activities: “As a result of the investigation, disciplinary measures were taken regarding 138 employees during the year. 37 of them were dismissed, one was demoted, 100 were reprimanded and 8 were warned.”
The employees were also awarded at the event for their merits in the Ministry’s activity.
The participants of the meeting appealed to President Ilham Aliyev.
