European Film Festival officially opened in Baku

Baku. Ulkar Rashidgizi - APA. The press conference and the opening ceremony dedicated to the European Film Festival that will be held on October 4-10, has been held today. APA reports the Head of the EU Representation in Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Kobia, director of “Park Cinema” Namig Guliyev and the Lithuanian director Algimantas Puipa participated at the press conference.

Roland Kobia said that UN gives great important to the cultural relations with Azerbaijan: “This festival neither deals with politics, nor with economy. It completely devoted to culture. The program of the European Film Festival includes the screening of 15 films from 14 European Union countries and one from Azerbaijan”.

After the movies the audience will be given the opportunity to participate in interactive discussions with the guests of honor. To allow for a broad participation of the Azerbaijani public each movie will be shown in 2 sessions and entrance to all the films will be free.
