Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. The Youth Rights Defense Committee held a rally sanctioned by Baku Mayor’s Office at the playground near the driving school in Elchin Azizov Street in the 20th residential area of Sabayil district.

APA’s correspondent, who observed the rally, reports that the rally started with the march of the young people.

Samir Asadli from the Civil Solidarity Party, chairperson of the Dalga Youth Movement Khanim Yadigarli, Sakhavat Soltanli from Musavat Party, Natig Jafarli from Republican Alternative – REAL Movement, chairman of the Youth Committee of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Abulfaz Gurbanli and others addressed the rally.

They spoke about the civil rights, education system, problems in the election process.

Though problem occurred in the power supply during the rally, soon the problem was solved.

The resolution of the rally was read following this.

A lot of party activists and functionaries attended the rally.

Representatives of the OSCE Office in Baku and local NGOs also observed the rally.

Bulistan rock group performed at the rally. But the insulting expressions in the poem recited by rocker Jamal Ali caused protest of the young people. The organizers announced the end of the rally and called on the young people to leave the site, but the protest of the young people against the rockers resulted in the scuffle. The police interfered in the incident. The member of the rock group Jamal Ali and Natig Kamilov, member of Nida Youth Organization Etibar Salmanli were taken to the police office.

The organizers of the rally were invited to the police office, too.

The Youth Rights Defense Committee includes the youth organizations of the Civil Solidarity Party, Popular Front Party, Democratic and Musavat parties, “Nida” Civil Movement, “Dalgha”, “Azad”, “Positive Change” youth movements and Human Rights Club.
