APA - Ajarian Prime Minister visits Azerbaijan

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Head of Ajarian Autonomous Republic government Levan Varshalomidze is paying an official visit to Baku. Spokesman for Georgian embassy in Azerbaijan Mamuka Balavadze told APA that Prime Minister arrived in Baku yesterday. He has visited Heydar Aliyev’s grave in the Alley of Honors and Martyrs’ Alley today.

Levan Varshalomidze met with President of Azerbaijan Airlines Jahangir Asgarov. He will meet with Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Sevda Mammadaliyeva and Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev. President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Rasi-zadeh will also receive Levan Varshalomidze.

Presentation showing economic and tourism potential of Ajaria will be held in Azpromo. Mamuka Balavadze said all the meetings will cover the state and development of bilateral relations and extension of cooperation in economy and tourism.

Levan Varshalomidze will return to Batumi tomorrow.
