55 trespassers detained in Azerbaijan last month

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbayli-APA. 55 trespassers were detained in 28 cases in Azerbaijan in July. Press service of State Border Service told APA that the trespassers are citizens of Georgia (22), Azerbaijan (13), Iran (7), Afghanistan (5), Pakistan (3), Turkey (2), Russia (2) and Nigeria (1).
129 people - citizens of Iran (62), Turkey (20), Azerbaijan (15), Philippines (3), India (3), Great Britain (2), China (2), Hong Kong (2), Canada (2), Singapore (2), Syria (2), citizens of Austria, Botswana, Ecuador, Estonia, Netherlands, Iraq, Cyprus, Cuba, Guinea, Latvia, Mozambique, Uzbekistan and Russia (one from each state) and one men having no citizenship were detained in 75 cases for not having visa.
47 people - citizens of Iran (16), Turkey (14), China (3), citizens of US, Canada, Latvia (two from each state), citizens of Germany, Great Britain, Philippines, India, Sweden, Saudi Arabia (one from each state) and two without citizenship were detained in 40 cases, as the term of their visa expired.
45 people - citizens of Azerbaijan (23), Georgia (6), Iran (5), Russia (5) Ukraine (4), citizens of Iraq and Kazakhstan (one from each state) were detained in 34 cases for not having relevant documents. 73 wanted people were detained and handed over to the law-enforcement bodies. 90.300kg narcotics were confiscated in 3 cases. Besides, 19.456 tones of 31,527 wild narcotic plants were collected from 10.2ha area and burnt down.
Coast Guard detained and reviewed 6 ships and 2 boats owned by Azerbaijan, 2 ships owned by Russia and 1 ship owned by Kazakhstan. 2 Azerbaijanis were detained in a boat for violating border regime rules. Smuggled goods cost AZN 372,411 were detained in 64 cases.
