“A coach with such a behavior can teach nothing to the players”
Baku. Mehman Suleymanov - APA-SPORT. “We have no problem in the team. Rasim Kara’s statements are ridiculous.
It is up to Kara to improve child football in the team. He is wrong to say there is nothing done for the infrastructure. New training base is being constructed in Bine”, FC Garabagh chief director Emrah Chelikel told APA-SPORT.
He stated that all his countryman said about the club is nothing but an excuse.
“Kara makes a mistake in using pretext. We made plans on infrastructure with the coach, but after this situation we see that we shouldn’t have discussed it with him. The participation list names Rasim Kara as a head coach of the team. How can he work in Khazar-Lankaran if he has a deal with us? He selected players, formed the team and then left the club a week before the championship. He has put us in a difficult position by accepting Khazar-Lankaran’s proposal”, he said.
Chelikel noted that they have taken serious steps against Kara after his appointment to FC Khazar-Lankaran.
“We have addressed to the AFFA and Professional Football League on the issue. In the letters to UEFA and FIFA we demanded the compensation for detriment which cannot be paid with money. Kara will probably be punished. There is no possibility that he return to the team. We intend to have Kara forbidden to work in Azerbaijan. A coach with such a behavior can teach nothing to the players. Let him go and work in Turkey”, he said.
Chelikel added that a new coach will be appointed by the weekend.
“Former player Musfig Huseynov takes the post for the time being. We are leading talks with Gurban Gurbanov now. There are Turkish candidates to the post as well”, he noted.
Kara coached FC Garabagh for a year and a half.
