Baku. Samir Kazimli –APA. “International organizations mostly make intended statements on freedom of press in Azerbaijan. I think so”, said Ramiz Mehdiyev, Head of the President’s Executive Office, APA reports.
Ramiz Mehdiyev said those statements didn’t base on real facts. “Referring to the internal relations between European countries, Azerbaijan is not behind them in this field. PACE representative, who recently visited Azerbaijan said obviously that it was possible to keep any person in custody for 90 days in England with no reason. British Parliament has passed certain draft law in this regard”. Ramiz Mehdiyev said three journalists in Azerbaijan were arrested not for the professional activity, but for the crimes they committed and this issue should be solved in the court. Ramiz Mehdiyev said the President’s Office had not taken any measures for the Act of Amnesty.
