Heavy rain speeds up landslide in Azerbaijan’s Masalli Region

Masalli. Agaddin Babayev –APA. Heavy rain speeds up landslide in Masalli Region, Nadir Abiyev, First Deputy Head of Masalli Executive Power told APA southern bureau.
There is crack in 10 of 23 houses in the region.
The landslide covers 3.5- hectare territory. There are 23 houses in active landslide territory and 134 houses in supposed territory. Specialist group led by Arif Akhundov, representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is at the site. Specialists stated that there occurred 15–cm landslide within a day. Depth of crack is 12 m, width is between 60 cm and 2 m. The headquarters was established in Masalli Executive Power. Each family will be allocated land in 5-km far from landslide.
