CE leadership makes a statement condemning films insulted Islam in Netherlands

Baku. Lachin Sultanova-APA. Terry Davis, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and Maud de Boer-Buquicchio, the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe made statements condemning films insulted Islam in Netherlands.

They stated that Geert Wilders’s film was the worst manipulation on ignorance, prejudice and terror.
“This is propaganda for extremism. The film will be distressed Muslims living in Europe, because they reject violence and accept worldwide value. We support freedom of expression, but this film causes anxiety. This day is a sorrowful day for European democratization, because several basic principles are used to display impatient and insulting stereotypes. Most of population living in all European countries and belonging to various religions believe the dialogue and respect for the European values.
