Tehran-APA. Tehran’s police chief, Reza Zarei has been arrested by vice squad after he was found with six prostitutes. According to APA despite official mass media tried to conceal the fact, Iranian “Farda” News Agency to be close to reformers reported about that.
Vice squad provided a raid in one of the capital brothels last Friday due to the order given by the Tehran chief of judicial authorities. Tehran police Chief Reza Zarei was found in a bed with six women. He was taken to police office and then released. Zarei was immediately removed from his post. Zarei was in charge for the crackdown on women “infringed Islamic dress rules”. Since he came to the post six months ago, thousands of young women have gotten warnings as their hairs were visible under headscarves. According to Iranian revolutionary laws women engaging in prostitution are sentenced to death. Two members of Iranian national football team were sentenced to 275 whips after they were found in Tehran brothel.
