Neolithic archeological evidences discovered in Zagatala - PHOTO

Neolithic and III-I millennium B.C. archeological evidences belonging to Yalavlu Tepe culture have been discovered in Zaqatala Region of Azerbaijan, Jahangir Soltanov, Director of Zagatala Regional Ethnography Museum told APA Sheki-Zagatala bureau. J. Soltanov said evidences had been discovered in the left bank of Alazan River near Muganli village, Zaqatala.
Local farmers discovered a stone horse tooth chopper of Neolithic age under the ground and fishermen discovered Yalavlu Tepe pottery in the bank of Alazan River. J. Soltanov said child graves and bones of III-I millennium B.C. had also been discovered there. He said the unique evidences discovered there showed rich historical heritage of that area and it was necessary to provide archeological excavations there.
