Lifer Vugar Aliyev, who is kept in Gobustan jail for murdering Ruslan Aslanov, son of former head of Shamkir Executive Power, deputy of minister of agriculture Aslan Aslanov, has cut his blood vessels, lifer’s brother Elnur Aliyev told the APA.
He said chief of the jail Alizada Huseynov’s not allowing lifer’s parents to meet with him caused the incident yesterday.
“My parents were not allowed to meet with my brother, and they asked the jail officers to give something they brought from the region to Vugar. But jail officers did not allow it either. Then we were told that my brother cut his vessels in protest,” he said.
Gobustan jail’s chief, Colonel Alizada Huseynov told the APA the lifer did not cut his vessels.
“We have no information about it. This has probably happened. If it occurred, jail officials did it due to law. Because it is not allowed to see the prisoner any time,” he said.
Huseynov said that according to laws, lifers can meet their parents once in four months and receive sending from their parents once in three months. /APA/
