Ancient Caucasus construction found in Garajamirli village of Shamkir

One of the most ancient constructions in the Caucasus has been discovered in Garajamirli village of Azerbaijani Shamkir region during excavations, the head of international scientific expedition investigating the area Ilyas Babayev told the APA.
The head of the expedition said that the found dwelling building that was constructed nearly 2500 years ago. Azerbaijani, German and Georgian scientists are carrying out investigation in the area at present.
The international expedition is financed by Germany and they started excavations for founding ancient dwelling places. The excavation has started since the beginning of the month in Garajamirli and will be over late in August. /APA/
