Ancient German churches in Shamkir and Khanlar regions to be restored

Ancient German churches in Shamkir and Khanlar regions will be restored, chief of cultural heritage department of Culture and Tourism Ministry Rizvan Bayramov told the APA. Bayramov sent to Shamkir and Khanlar regions on July 6 to concern himself with the state of the churches said that the technical state of the monuments is normal.
“We inspected the state of German churches in Shamkir and Khanlar regions. Carcass of both churches is normal, therefore we can start its restoration,” he said.
Rizvan Bayramov said that a German company will restore the church in Khanlar.
Public Union on Region’s Development will restore the German church in Shamkir.
The churches will be used as cultural center after restoration not as church. /APA/
