“Georgian national team leadership doesn’t pay attention to the championship in Azerbaijan. That’s why they don’t follow me or other Georgian players. I think it is because championship is low-levelled?, Neftchi’s Georgian midfielder Georgi Adamia told APA-SPORT.
He said Georgian squad leadership watch only those who play in high-levelled championship.
“But they don’t know that Azeri championship is much better in level than that of Georgian?, he said.
Adamia guesses Georgian players in Azerbaijani championship, especially Baku midfielder Aleksandr Gogoberishvili and Khezer-Lenkeran midfielder Valeri Abramidze are qualified enough to play in Georgian national squad. Adamia noted that it is impossible for him to play in Azerbaijani squad as he is a member of Georgian under-21 team. He added he is not acquainted with Claus Topmoller who trains Georgian squad now. /APA-SPORT/
