APA - Documentary on Armenian revolt in Ottoman Empire screened at the US Congress

Baku – APA. A documentary film on the Armenian revolt in Ottoman Empire and further developments was screened at the US House Rayburn Office Building.

After screening of a documentary about so-called “genocide” and Armenian lies at the US Congress, the US Turkish organizations also decided to proceed to action. The Assembly of Turkish-American Associations (ATAA) organized the screening of documentary “The Armenian Revolt” about the Armenian plans to establish own state in the eastern Ottoman Empire and their armed revolts at the US House Rayburn Office Building on July 28.

Bruce Fein, former legal adviser to late US ex-president Ronald Reagan, made opening remarks before the screening and said there was no genocide during 1915 events. He said Armenians were only displaced within the Ottoman Empire. Fein reminded that Turkey unsealed its archives and declared that I would accept the international commission’s decision. But archives of Dashnaksutyun and Hnchak parties are still sealed. “I think they fear to unseal archives because it will make clear the facts of terrorism they used for provocations in that time”.

Fein said after the World War II, hundreds of Ottoman officers were judged in Malta, but then they were released because evidences of genocide in 1915 events were not found. Touching upon the claims about the number of Armenian casualties in 1915, the legal expert said there were Armenians and Muslims who died as a result of famine and diseases in that time.
