Baku hosts international payment system conference

Baku. Vahab Rzayev. APA-ECONOMICS. 1st international conference on information security and processing centers in payment card field is started in Baku.

According to APA-ECONOMICS, the conference was organized by Royal Bank and Sysnet Global Solutions, a company delivering information security assurance to its clients.

Chairman of Royal Bank Board of Governors Samir Akbarov briefed the conference participants about the activity of his bank and emphasizing priority of qualitative services, said that the bank attached special attention to the security of payment systems, payment cards and Internet-banking system. He said the bank was looking forward to create its processing center and to extend services based on leading technologies. He called information security in this field as an important issue.

CIS business development manager Igor Lekgodimov and security adviser Alexei Grebenyuk represented Sysnet at the conference. Lekgodimov gave details about security of payment cards, Internet-payment, as well as modern technologies, control, security standards. Grebenyuk also spoke about the security standards, control, software, audit and other issues. Both reports caused a serious interest by the conference participants.
